Before attending any sporting activities, all participants, officials, volunteers and spectators should self-assess for symptoms of coronavirus (COVID-19). These are:
· a high temperature
· a new, continuous cough
· a loss of, or change to, your sense of smell or taste
If you have one or more of these symptoms you should not attend any sporting activity, even if your symptoms are mild. You should follow NHS guidance on testing and self-isolation.
Ventilation: Fresh air ventilation is one of the best ways to reduce the risk of transmission indoors. The Pilates Angel has at all sessions a CO2 monitor to assess ventilation levels. CO2 levels below 800ppm are recommended by SAGE. Windows and doors will be opened to ventilate indoor spaces, where required.
Cleaning and Hygiene: The use of hand sanitiser and/or washing of hands upon entry to and exit from the class is encouraged. Please bring with you your own hand gel for personal use. Participants are required to bring their own water bottle, exercise mat, block, towel, resistance band etc.
Occupancy and Social Distancing: There are no longer any legal requirements for social distancing and capacity limits for indoor facilities are no longer in place, however, The Pilates Angel wishes to encouraging participants to keep their distance from each other wherever possible, especially those who have not been fully vaccinated or may be at higher risk. Session numbers are currently limited to a maximum of 8 participants to allow space for those who wish to maintain some degree of social distancing and to feel comfortable and relaxed during the session.
Face Coverings: The legal requirement to wear face coverings has been lifted. Gyms, fitness and leisure facilities are not defined as crowded areas under the Government guidance and people have never been required to wear face coverings while taking part in sport and physical activity, including coaching and/or instructing. If you wish to wear a face mask when entering and leaving the session, you are of course free to do so.
NHS Test and Trace: It is no longer a legal requirement to use the NHS Test and Trace app when participating in a session.
NHS COVID Pass: Fitness, leisure and physical activity settings are not considered to be in a high risk category, so there is no expectation or requirement to use the COVID Pass.
